Author Fees

Majalah Kedokteran Bandung (MKB) applies Article Processing Charges (APC) to support the editorial and publication process. The APC is divided into two stages: a Submission Fee and a Publication Fee.

Submission Fee

Authors are required to pay a Submission Fee of IDR 500,000 after the manuscript has passed the initial editorial screening.

The submission fee covers administrative processing, manuscript screening, and editorial handling at the initial stage. Payment of the submission fee does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

Publication Fee

Authors whose manuscripts have been accepted for publication are required to pay a Publication Fee of IDR 2,000,000.

The publication fee covers editorial management, copyediting, layout, DOI registration, online publication, and long-term access to the published article.

For international authors, an APC of USD 190 is charged as a one-time payment, covering both the submission and publication processing fees.

Fee Policy

• No payment is required at the time of initial manuscript submission.
• The Submission Fee is requested only after the manuscript passes the initial editorial screening.
• The Publication Fee is requested only after the manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.
• For international authors, the USD 190 APC is charged as a one-time payment.
• Payment of any fee does not guarantee manuscript acceptance or publication.
• All payments are non-refundable once the relevant editorial or publication processing has begun.
• Payment does not influence editorial decisions, peer-review outcomes, or manuscript acceptance.
• Authors are responsible for any bank transfer or transaction charges.

Official payment instructions will be provided directly by the Editorial Office. Authors should not make payments to unofficial accounts, individuals, or third parties.
